"For this project I have taken one Polaroid image per day as a way of recording my life, and that of the last days of the 20th century. This project started on the 1st of January 1998, and will finish at the end of 2000. The first year the images were all in color, the second year all black and white, and back to color in 2000. The photographs that I am taking vary in subject matter, some being more personal than others - documenting my travels and the people I meet, making social comments, capturing interesting angles, reviewing old cliches, adding new perspectives, and recording my life at the turn of the century.

I am also challenging myself in that I am only allowed to take one photo per day. I cannot take a slew of them, and then decide which is 'the photo of the day'. Only in rare cases where the lighting has not been sufficient, have I allowed myself to take another photo.

One day I hope to look back on these images, and remember the experiences and feelings that brought me to them. They will serve as mileposts in my own personal growth, and understanding of this time called life."
